Ecuador what the first country I visited during my round the world trip. There are some pretty nice things there. If you exclude my time in Galapagos, I spent 10 days there, the same amount you want to. I went to Quito (the capital), Guayaquil (waterfront city), Banos (outdoor activities like white water rafting), and Cuenca (ruins). You can check out my experiences and what I saw there on my blog: https://nicoleglobetrot.com/new-blog/ . Because writing everything here will take a lot of time. :)

tripadvisor is often a good place to get an idea what you can see when you go visit a place. 8 months ago

Hi I have lived in Ecuador for over 30 years.. so I know it well. Quito Old City is amazing. The best thermal baths are in Papallacta on the eastern slope only 1 hour from the airport. If you want nature and birds, go to cloud forest in Tandayapa Valley in the northwest of Pichincha (under 2 hours from Quito). Landscape and culture, Otavalo or Saquisili indigenous markets and the roads out there. In the South, Cuenca and Las Cajas National Park. Check Trip Advisor, and if you want cloud forest info drop me an email at richardbellavista@gmail.com 8 months ago
