Is it safe to travel to Iceland, if you are a female traveling alone?

Very safe to travel solo (except driving solo in the winter away from tourists sites, same for men as for women). Sixt was the cheapest car rental I found. Make sure you get a plan for exactly what you personally will need and use. over 1 year ago

What is the best way to see The Galapagos?

It depends on your budget, but you'll see the most via a cruise. Because a cruise is jam-packed, though, I'd recommend a hotel stay afterward to relax. I've written a number of articles on things to consider when choosing a cruise and on which island you should stay. I also have some hotel and cruise recommendations, but they're geared more toward the luxury market. http://traveleater.net/2015/01/05/galapagos-islands-dont-wait-to-see-them/ about 3 years ago

Is snorkeling in galapagos necessary with a wet suit month of september

It depends where you snorkel - a sheltered beach area or the port on Isabela (where the sea lions play with you) is much warmer than a rocky shore open to the currents. If you take a cruise, most boats will provide you with a wetsuit free of charge. Lots of places in the towns will rent a wetsuit to you. about 3 years ago

Any tips for first timers to Barcelona and Lisbon in June?

Barcelona: Eat lots of tapas, don't bother with Park Guell or the Picasso museum, buy tickets in advance for the other Gaudi museums, and don't forget that the best pickpockets in the world are in Spain! about 3 years ago

Solo female travelling to South America

I just spent 2 months solo in Ecuador and Peru. I don't think you need a tour for those countries. Be cautious in Quito and Lima for pickpockets, and heed locals' advice on no-go zones. Otherwise, just practice your usual precautions and you should be fine. Everyone I met was very kind and helpful. We'll be in Puerto Ayora for four days in July. Will we be able to book day tours the day before, or are they likely to be sold out?

There is usually lots of day cruise availability, though July is one of the busier times of the year. The challenge will be if the day cruises go where you want to go on the days you have available. about 3 years ago
